ALSO was born in 2007 when the chapter confirmed at a planning meeting to perform a service within 
our community...giving us more public sing-outs.

Our first performance was in March of 2008.

We performed at 10 facilities in 2008 with an average of 30 Chordsmen attending each one, 
singing to an average of 35-40 residents.

The idea is to provide the residents of such facilities with entertainment and a variety from their daily 
routine.  We do this gratis to help out the facility activity directors who are 
typically constrained with limited activity budgets.

 The performance is beneficial in several ways:

• The residents and activity director get some free, fun entertainment.  
• The Chordsmen get some public performance practice.
• The Chordsmen get to feel good about providing fun and entertainment to a worthy, needy group.
